This was a 6 drawer dresser that was in dire straights… drawers broken, missing knobs and handles… so I took it into the shop and created porch bench. Still need to get a cushion for it, but like the storage with the botton drawers…

Pic 1: A stock picture of the dresser when it was new.
Pic 2: Sawed the sides, created arms and a backrest.
Pic 3: The boss sanding… lots of sanding.
Pic 4: Ready for paint.
Pic 5: Painted and ready to sell.

Looks great. I could see a flat screen sitting on it instead of a cushion. The drawers could be filled with all sorts of electronic stuff

Love the idea, I never would have seen that far ahead from that particular piece. I see those things at Goodwill and estate sales all over the place, looks like I have a new project!

Great way to think outside of the box. I really like the finish you applied. Well done.
