Here are a couple of jewelry boxes I made for two granddaughters. They are Sycamore with cherry on the frame of the lid. The sycamore turned dark when I put the finish on which did not exactly please me but the girls should be happy with them. I shaped the sides using molding cutters on the table saw. If you work slow and are patient the cutters do a good job.

Very decent jewelry box. Jewlery will remain well protected in this cosy surrounding making your granddaughters happy.

I had never seen Sycamore used before, looks almost like lacewood. A great combination of woods and expertly executed project!
