Really nice piece! A while back I decided to make simple cabriole legs on a tiny stool my folks wanted on which to set a heater. I made two cabriole legs; they were so much work that the back legs ended up plain. I can appreciate all the work you put into this lovely stool.

Makes a great contract to the Stickley console table. Any plans for a matching chair?

Hunter,
It is a combination of dye, gel stain, and a wiping varnish. The wood is mahogany but the gel stain did impart some color.
