I needed a couple of Christmas presents and not alot of spare cash. So using scrap wood, I made these two cutting boards. The larger was made from some old unfinished oak wood flooring that couldn’t be used because they didn’t join up right. The second was made from an old piece of pine off an old barn. Not anything fancy, just something so we didn’t show up for Christmas emptyhanded. I had fun doing it and I think they turned out nice, especially when my wife rubbed some olive oil on them.
Oh yeah, and it was glued together using Gorilla Wood Glue…I love this stuff!

I like these a lot! Great use of “leftovers”...nothing like making Christmas gifts!

Nicely done. However, the Olive oil might pose a problem in the future. It could spoil. Mineral Oil works well and does not spoil.
