My wife wanted/needed a sewing table. She has been using one of those little 4’ folding tables and it was pretty flimsy. And since she went out and spent a small fortune for embroidery computer sewing machines, I felt she needed something appropriate. This is walnut and ash. The legs are maple with Purple Heart inlay Celtic Knots. Its 30 ½ inches high 29” deep and 66” wide. With all legs, the varnish and sanding to 1500 grit, this took almost a month to build. The legs took a week by themselves. My first attempt at furniture. I don’t think it’s my best work. But she is proud of it and shows it off every chance she gets. I have an order for a new one from one of her friends. I have a slab of 4/4 Purple Heart that is 11 feet by 26 inches. That’s what she wants for the top.

You’ve taken the humble sewing table to a whole new level!
How the heck did you do the inlay in the legs?
Nice work – congrats

Beautiful work, you should be proud.

I agree, it is a very nice “first”. Cheers
