Knotty pine cabinet doors

Project by friesenlips posted 300 days ago 1682 views 0 times favorited 7 comments Add to Favorites Watch

These are some Knotty pine v-groove shaker doors with tongue and groove pine boards in the middle. Made them for a contractor up north for his personal house. Hopefully he will throw a little more business my way since he loved them.

Nice work on these doors. I forget how nice knotty pine can look, it seems that we get too obsessed with hardwoods when cabinet making.

Very nice doors. You have the patience, strong will and determination working with those knots and they turned out very beautiful. Well done man!

Sometimes I feel a little unsophisticated about it, but I love knotty pine. I did my basement den / bar with knotty pine trim & wainscoting, as well as the bar. To me it gives a great, rustic “Northwoods Lodge” feel. These are very nicely done!

Knotty pine looks great but it’s so soft, if you even bump it before you spray finish on it you will dent it. sanding it is awesome but you have to watch you don’t go to far, lol.

Where there’s character in wood…there is beauty. Simple doors of a simple wood…but often simple can have the most character. And it’s character that gives a home its warmth. Great job.
