Mobile Bench Stands

Project by Triman posted 172 days ago 637 views 2 times favorited 9 comments Add to Favorites Watch

I’ve now built 3 of these with various door/drawer combinations. Not pretty, but functional! This one, showing the pull-out table was one of the better improvements. I no longer wander around in circles looking for someplace to put things down. So far, I have one each for my benchtop drill press, benchtop planer, and benchtop belt/disc sander.

Due to a small garage, I often move my tools out to the driveway, and these mobile stands make that much easier. The ability to lower or raise the stand with one foot is handy, but be forwarned, those foot levers are hard on the feet when you run into them in a dark garage!

Very nice. I like the 3 wheel mobile base. I have shop fox mobile bases for most of my equipment. Suggestion, don’t buy them. They don’t roll woth a darn. Thanks for sharing.

I like these too. What brand is your mobile base?

I used the Delta 50-941 Mobile Base for all three. I got them thru Amazon. $50 each with free shipping.

I have the same problem with a small garage and have a similar mobile base that I got from Rockler. I love it, very stable. I will be adding more as I redo my shop. Thanks for the post.

I like this a lot. It looks like it could really contribute to a shop, it would sure make things easier. Great Idea…

I have that same planer and I need a stand like that for it, plus, I have one of those same mobile bases. I really have to get the slab done for my shop. Everything is still in storage except the Festool circular saw.

Functionality has its own beauty. This is beautiful in that way!
