3 in 1 Maple Crib

Project by friesenlips posted 321 days ago 403 views 7 times favorited 12 comments Add to Favorites Watch

This is a 3 in 1 crib made out of maple that I made for my best friend when he told me they were having their first baby. It starts off as a crib then goes to a toddler bed and finally to a full bed

Awesome project! I’m sure your friend really appreciates all of the hard work and thought into this really great baby crib!

Was this a modification of the plan that Rocker sells? The overall design follows the same concepts.

Gorgeous crib. I’ve never built anything that transforms over time. My bet is that it was tedious. I just commented on you wall table. Same applies here. Great choice of wood.

Thanks for the comments, it was actually a plan from wood magazine. I figured that instead of just building them a crib that would last a few years I would build them this and it will grow with the kid for a long time

I just finished the same crib and was wondering if you have put the mattress in the crib yet? When I did the 52”x28” mattress fit lose front to back and according to the article there should be no visible space between the mattress and the sides all the way around. Now I’ve checked the measurements three time and found the plans to be almost 3/4” to big and was wondering if you are having the same problems

Great looking crib! You did a beautiful job on this piece. Was this made from a plan and if so where did you get it? Thanks for posting.

God Bless
