This a small recipe card box made of Black Limba i made as a gift this past christmas. Box joints were cut on a shop made router jig. The top was cut off on the router table with a 5/64” slot cutter. I finished this with 2 coats of hand rubbed polyurethane.

I also made some receipt boxes for Christmas and I love the way the box joints pop when finishing. To my suprize not everyone used 3×5 cards for their receipts. I did however convert a few (or all) to change their ways because of the box.
I like the wood selection you made your’s with, mine were only made from 2X4’s with a top of a different material, mostly black Walnut. It took me forever or (2 month) to make and the finishing took just as long to complete as the building of the box.
Nice project. Great Workmenship.
