He get’s his gift.

Oak, rosewood inlay, but the router chewed it a little. Got another one coming as a thank you gift.

I went with mismatched, asymmetrical inlay design – I thought it came out interesting. Also, that ugly tail burn/knot mark there on the top gave the design some interest.

It’s a serving tray. Two pieces of red oak jointed together, the rosewood inlay, and a pair of long cabinet handles from the Big Orange.

Ahh! I can see now that the handles are raised. I couldn’t tell before! I really like the choice of cabinet handles. Combined with the asymmetrical design, they give a modern slant to some classic wood choices. Thanks for posting!
