The Walnut came to me 2.5 inches thick, air dried for about 20 years and was crooked as heck. I had to put it on a sled and plane to flatten and it all leveled out at 1 inch thick. The base is made out of Laurel. The Walnut was cut off a friends property next to a mountain stream and look how it’s blessing his family home now.
