This rocker wass made using the plans from Hal Taylor. Great in depth video. This is my fouth Taylor style and I have also made 5 in the more traditional Malloof style using the Charles Brock plans. aathey both produce heirloom quality chairs that look great in any home. athis one is in XL and the curly maple is the star. I alsom made one out of walnut at thee same time and found the softer walnut easier to sculpt but the motion and drame in the grain of the maple made it well worth the effort. athere is a thru knot hole in the seat thet I had debatted on filling with some colored epoxy but in the end I left it open and it worked out great. I am going to keep my eyes open for some more of that maple so I can build one to fit my wife.
Rock on!

Excellent craftsmanship, beautiful rocker. I especially like the knot in the seat, nice natural feature.

very nice work… I’m about to start a Hal Taylor rocker as well. If it comes out anywhere near as nice as yours i’ll be happy.
