Box with some router designs

I don’t remember what the wood type is but I liked it so I made a box.

I haven’t posted much lately because I am creating stuff to stock up for some upcoming shows.

My photo background is really scuffed and dirty from use. I hesitate to use it and need to order another one before I take any more photos.

Kinda has a sunburst look to it—I like it!

Great look! Now you just need to carve a spider on that corner! I have some pecan that resembles the wood in this box.

Thanks everyone… once I made the basic box the routing only took about an hour. I used a round nose bit and a straightedge, some clamping and some double sided tape when I couldn’t get a good clamping.
The finish is lacquer.

It just might be Pecan Andy. I have this habit of buying lumber anytime I am at a lumberyard and see something I like so I can have it around for future use. I recognize most woods I use but some that I don’t frequently use get forgotten. I now make it a habit of writing the lumber type and the date I got it on each piece with a lumber crayon. Makes life easier down the road

I’m sure you don’t tire of being told how each box is a piece of art. Thanks for the tools update. Hadn’t heard from you in awhile. good to know your busy and productive.

Very unique Greg! I like it. As many boxes as you’ve made, it must be hard to find new designs… but you keep doing it. I always enjoy your work.

Very nice Greg, I really like this box,

Just like you in the lack of posting projects only I’ve been busy making custom orders that are flocking in already cooped well over $1k this month alone, Dec and Jan were my best months to date and already starting out to be an awesome year but…. I have to keep it fun and not a job :) though the money is nice.
