Nothing fancy here… this is more about the “function” than the “form”. So this was a quick project I made about 5 years ago when we got our first dog, Bocephus. I didn’t realize how big bags of dogfood can be until I brought one home and had nowhere to actually put it.

I had some old scraps of pine laying around, so I rounded over the edges and put them all together using drywall screws. Yes, I said it, drywall screws. Yikes. In hindsight I should/could have used brad nails, but as I said, it was thrown together pretty quickly. Judging from the last picture, I don’t think Bo minds.

After seeing this one my sister asked me to make one for her. On the second one (which is not pictured) I built a bottom piece to match the top, and included casters underneath so she can roll it out from under her countertop.

Very useful idea. You’ve got a nice looking dog, too. I have a boxer and a lab/sheppard mix. I might have to borrow this idea – thanks!

heck, dont worry about borrowing it, feel free to just steal it! the only thing not pictured is the base… I made a small frame out of 2×4s and then dropped several pieces of Pine on top to support the bag. The 2×4 frame is also what the verticle slats are screwed into.
