Very nice!... how long did it take you to complete the entire set?

Well, it took me about 3 months I think to get the dresser and mirror and the 2 nighthstands. Then about another 5 years to get to the Amoirer, which probably only took about a month, once I started it. Why it took me that long to get there, I don’t know, but it did. I think part of it was I wanted to make sure the rest of it was gonna hold up and not fall apart on me. And it has.

Janice, you did a nice job on the bedroom suite build and design. And oak is such a nice wood to work with as well. Any plans on adding a bed as well?

What kind of finish did you put on these pieces?

No to the headboard. I bought an antigue white iron headboard, goes with anything. I was just happy to get this much done, and move on with smaller things I wanted to build. There is always another project in my mind waiting.

I think it took me about 3 months to build the dresser, mirror and 2 nightstands. Then about 5 years to get started on the armoire. Once I got started on that it only took about a month.

Thanks alot, but it doesnt compare to your work. Your tables are beautiful. Very impressive! Don’t know how you do that! I usually do draw what I’m gonna build first, but alot of times it changes as I go along.

With projects like this, you are on your way to being a master woodworker. Everything looks great. Welcome to the site. I’m looking forward to seeing more of your projects.

Yes, the small chest of drawers, LOVE IT!! You did a great job on the entire room. See, woodworking is just like Pringles potato chips, once you start, you just can’t stop!! Great work Janice! It’s awesome to see a female woodworker bloom like you have! Great job!!

Thanks alot. I’m probably as far as I can go with this though. I don’t see me getting any better with this. There is way too much to learn and never enough time and I have way to many hobbies. Need to quit the day job. Although I did just finish a couple small projects, I’ll post them later. Thanks again for the coments. Some men I know think this is not a womens place. Whatever. I just try to do whatever I can.
