I had to share this armoire on Lumberjocks. I was looking on the internet for some ideas on how to use some old, reclaimed fir doors. I came across some pictures of an armoire that was built using old doors…and I liked it enough to do something similar.

We wanted to build the armoire for our show room. But while we were still working on it a customer who as coming to pick up another item decided he wanted to buy the armoire. It sold for $2400.00.

After the cabinet sold…I saw that the pictures I found on line were from another member on Lumberjocks. I didn’t know that beforehand.

That’s a great idea and congrats on the sale! I have a small stack of reclaimed pine that Id like to make a book case or shelving unit with. thanks for the inspiration.

Great piece! – i like the multi-colored backer – gives the viewer an extra surprise when the door is opened- it also shows off the craftsmanship
