Children's Bunk Beds

Project by Brian Havens posted 175 days ago 416 views 1 time favorited 4 comments Add to Favorites Watch

Another older project. This was completed in early 2005. All the commercially made bunk beds are so shoddy, so I built this one. It is made from Red Oak and stained, with a topcoat of Waterlox. It is holding up well in spite of the daily abuse by two, young energetic boys.

If I remember correctly, this was the first time I used Waterlox, and I have loved it since. This was made from a plan, with minor modifications.

Great project! I believe those two handsome boys can safely sleep and play there.
