I made this from MDF and then painted it blue with some extra paint we had left over from our house. The top is two layers of 5/8” melamine coated particle board. I don’t have any pictures of just it alone after the paint job, but if you look at my workshop, it is in the corner of one picture. This houses my Bosch 1617.

Great looking router table – excellent work! I checked out your shop photos. Your router table looks great finished. I think the Bosch folks would apppreciate the blue!

Nice. Did you like working with MDF? I find it aweful heavy. Did you design it yourself or were you building from plans?

Great job on this. Does the MDF lessen the vibration of the router? Is it better than plywood?

Os—I didn’t really like working with the MDF. You are right, it is awfully heavy, and it makes a ton of dust and the dust smells funny to me. I was working off the plans in Danny Proulx’s book about Workstations.
Panama—I am not really sure if the MDF dampens vibrations more than Plywood, but the next one I build will be made out of plywood. I just like plywood better than the MDF.

Good looking router table… gives me a case of shop-envy.
