Mission style coffee table. Made a three table set with the previous 2 end tables and this coffee table. Pine wood for structure, shelf was oak ply. 18 spindles, 3/4×3/4×15 each mortise-tendon. Last picture is a dry fit. Each piece was sealed, stained and one coat of shellac before assembly. Made the stain much more even. Construction was the same as the end tables, just shorter and longer. Water based poly was the finish. Sprayed top with Earlex 2901. Very nice little sprayer. Made a 4×6 make shift spray booth out of 1/2 pvc to help keep dust off the finish. 1/2 pvc is a little wimpy, but serves the purpose.
