Chess Board Box

Since I don’t have any to play chess with…well, I like how the veneer radiates out from the center…I’ve been thinking about building one…but then so many other projects are occupying my mind that this is a few years down the road.

Oh man I just loved this board, being a chess player I just fell in love with it, the wood grain is beautiful and the angle on the top outer part makes it almost look 3 deminsional, totally cool you said Euro Ash which I assume is the light color what is the other? Or is that the same just stained? What ever it’s beautiful, you should feel really proud of all your work but this one especially, it’s one of my favorites.
