Friend of mine needed a fence post driver/hammer… so I made one out of solid Euro. Ash, and it came out pretty nice. It sure gets a ton of smiles. It weighs about 7 kilos. And I could not resist putting a little decorative touch on the handle so it is not only more comfortable than a normal mallet, but much cooler looking too!
My buddy is going to take to the local iron smith and have rings put on it so it wont splinter apart around the edges.

fun posting … I made a big ole mallet many years ago. not as cool as yours, but has come in handy at times.
