This bandsaw box shape and construction was generated first by the shape of the piece of burl I was going to use, after that things fell into place as I went along, from cutting it out to the type of finish. I think you may know how I cut the drawers out, but if it puzzles you just ask. This is a local popular burl material and it is not real tight so it abit hard to work with. That is one reason I experimented with pour on epoxy finish, and I love it, brilliant, smooth and really brings out the intricances and beauty of the grain. The bottom four drawers the pulls are fake pearl ear rings, holes drilled with a N0. 1 drill bit and secured with CA glue. the top one is a bead I had, drilled and a small piece of nail glued in for the pin. It was the same method I used for the first box I made last year, I included a picture of that one also it you missed it. The inside of the boxes where flocked,Royal blue and navy blue, my wife’s favorite colors. I have found that s piece of duct or gorilla tape under the box move it up for even clerance around and makes it smooth sliding. I envy all of you that make things out of exotic woods, living in the north they do not grow here, but these burls are free for the taking and I am thankful for what I have available.
Wishing you all a HAPPY VALENTINES DAY AND EVENING. Thanks for looking.

First off Brian, let me say that is a fine looking box. Nicely done all the way from the blue flocking to the pearl handles. As far as exotic woods go, I would love to have a piece of burl like that. Great choice.
