Designed to fit under the window in my son’s bedroom and to be bomb proof as he grows (all fixed shelves, dadoes reinforced with screws).

It’s made of one sheet of 3/4 inch birch plywood, 1/4 inch plywood back, and some 1×6 poplar for edge molding and feet. It’s painted to match the moldings and doors in the room.

Overall I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out and I think to do much better I would need to fit my table saw with some serious infeed and outfeed tables or invest in a track saw.

It’s in front of a window? People make a big deal about anchoring things to the wall, in case they fall over on top of your kid if they try to climb it. Use your judgement as to whether it would budge…
