When my wife and I bought our first house last year, we had to make many improvements (nowhere near what Dusty had to do, but extensive for us) and as such, I, cough cough….HAD to buy a few tools. :) This started me on my path to becoming a woodworker and as such I have started to accumulate a few tools here and there. This stand for our VCR/DVD player, Cable box, and Stereo receiver was needed to reduce the heat in the entertainment center and increase the airflow. It is made out of Poplar with a Cherry gel stain and has a large hole in the center of each board ( I didn’t want to un plug all the cords, so there are no pictures of it. No pictures of the holes is a good thing. I only had jig saw that didn’t work very well to make those holes and they sure aren’t precise.

“Had to buy tools” . . . never had to use that line myself! LOL
Great project and story. Thanks!

I had to buy a belt sander today. “Had to buy” is such an important part of our wood worker “lexicon”. Great project…I like the color or the poplar with cherry gel stain…

I’ve had to buy thousands of dollars worth of tools and my wife finally quit asking. She just shakes her head and buys some new shoes. Nice stereo set up. mike
