Three Celtic Inspired Projects

I thought I would post all three of these Celtic inspired projects together so not to take up too much room here. :)

All three are created on the scroll saw using various hard woods.

The first one is a shamrock shaped box made of ash and padauk. I scrolled the box sides in layers and made some fun ornaments to fit inside.

The second project is again a small trinket box, this time scrolled using maple and walnut. I hand drew the monogram letter for the top of the box (all 26 letters are included in the pattern) and the lettering can be used for other projects as well.

The third pattern is a set of Celtic knot ornaments. These are made of maple and I embellished them with some pretty crystal hot-fix rhinestones in various shades of green. I also created several smaller sized pieces of these ornaments which would be suitable for small jewelry. These were done in yellow heart, holly, walnut, cherry and maple.

I had lots of fun with these designs. I hope you like them. Patterns for all of them are on my site and available for digital delivery. Thanks for looking! :)

You have more patience than I do, pierce, cut, pierce, cut, repeat ….!
But from what I can see, it was well worth the effort as those pieces are beautiful and delicate.

I love these designs and the way you made the boxes. Lately I have become interested in celtic knots for marquetry but I think I will try to make some on the scroll saw as gifts to my family. Thank you for showing these.

Thank you again everyone. I really appreciate your kind comments. I am so glad you like the boxes and ornaments/pendants. I like doing detailed cutting and the smaller pieces were a little bit of a challenge for me, but still lots of fun. I am glad you enjoy seeing them. :)
