Coffee Table, Shaker style. Book matched air dried black walnut top, with cherry base. Low voc varnish finish. Traditional haunched mortise and tenon joinery.

Awesome table …I have some Walnut air drying right now …I got it at last years woodworking show and watched the man slice it right from the log….I hope it is still flat when it is finally ready to be used . Mine has the same sapwood along its edge and I’m hoping to matchbook it as nicely as you have here : ) Great job and Happy New Year to you !

Hi Brian,
Classic! Cannot go wrong with shaker style. That bookmatched walnut is insane. Love the sap wood in it and how honest your your work is. Every project you do you can see how much you respect the material that work with. You are rocking the “Green” Furniture man. Also, Dig how you shot the piece.

Thanks, this is the same board that the other bookmatched black walnut coffee table in my projects is from, It was 8’ long. Made this for my folks for the holidays.
