I’ve been in a box making mood lately, just trying to use up some good scraps and have some fun before I start a big kitchen remodel next week.
Zebrawood and wenge work well together (in my opinion) and the bloodwood accent stands out. My wife doesn’t care for the bloodwood, however. I also stuck with tight-fitting, but irregularly spaced box joints rather than dovetails. I thought dovetails might be too much with the slanted sides.
Your thoughts are welcome.

Very cool. I really like this particular wood combination, and the darker end grain on the joints adds to the visual effect.

Very Nice!!! Zebrawood is one of my favorites. Also the bloodwood inlays look great.

Very nice design, I also like the bloodwood accent, especially done in the wenge.
Thanks for sharing

The emphasis on horizontal lines seems a bit strong for my taste, with the zebrawood striping reinforced by the orientation of the wenge and bloodwood. I like the color contrasts, though, especially the bloodwood. I think the box joints were a good choice.

I like that a lot caocian. Especially the little piece of bloodwood in the centre of the lid; it says: “Look at me; I’m going against the grain!”
