We have been busy getting ready for Valentine’s. My wife and I are going to a craft show at Copan Ruins, a very busy tourist city in my country. we have never been there to sell our products, so dont really know the market, we know they have lots of crafts from Guatemala which we can not compete with them price wise, but we are gonna try and see if they like our products.

the bodies of the boxes is cedar, and the inlays are some locals woods, including rosewood.

Those are beautiful, Nayo! The inlays are crisp and professional. Are the magnetic hearts the cut outs from the third and fifth style boxes? Hope you come home from the show with a full wallet and empty truck! Thanks for sharing.

thanks everybody

yes we would like to sell them all!, thats the hope. but things here in my country, as everywhere, are difficult, we wanted to take little keychains and other craft frendly things but we are betting in products that no one fabricates around here, as we can not compete with big factories.

as an example, we used to do a lot of earrings, and the ones of you who does them know that is a lot of work, especially in the sanding. we sold them for about 3~5 USD which is not much but gave us some small profit. but then the other artisans began selling chinese laser cut earrings for less than a dollar!

can fight that. so we are trying mostly different things. and we will see and if that does not work, i will try to buy a laser machine! :) :) :)

These are all very nice projects. You seem to be very productive.
