A friend of ours asked me to make her a DVR shelf. She wanted something to slide the DVR in so the cords for the DVR and DVD would be hidden and wouldn’t show. The shelf was made from Red Oak with biscuit joinery for the sides.

This was my first attempt at using SketchUp to create project plans. If you’ll note the the SketchUp drawing the plans call for 6” sides. As it turns out, I misunderstood what our friend was asking for and had to cut the sides down 3”. An easy fix on the table saw.

Not a lot of air space for the cable box to breathe. She may overheat and cook it. Speaking from experience.
