This was my first attempt at carving old english lettering. I used a variety of chisels and the only gouge i own to create the letters. I printed out a mirror image of the lettering on the computer and using a hot iron transferred it onto a piece of quarter sawn cherry. This was just sent to and received by lj bhog.

Here’s a couple process pics:

And the final piece with about 10 coats of button shellac on it.

Looks awesome man, I’d never guess you’re new to carving. I love that Old English, straight up gangsta font.

Hog’s lucky to have you by his side.

Nice job Stef, looks like it was a lot of fun to do and quite a challenge when you don’t have the ideal tools. You pulled it off though buddy.

I missed this. Great job, Stef. Now you need to make one for yourself. I 10 foot plank should cut it.

Hah ha^. Hey Todd ever hear about me sending stef a wood subscription? I named him Christy Sukanineitcz( suck-a-nine-inch). So worth the price of admission.

Hung it, you’ll have to excuse the mess I didn’t feel like cleaning up.

Pretty sweet. Thanks again, dog.
