Mike, I love it! These pictures really show the clock off much better. Also, it’s possible to determine scale. I’m sure that your daughter-in-law will love this one, too.

Now thats what I call a clock. It sure looks allot bigger. That log must be huge.

Great job Mike. I agree with Don that it’s better to see it in human scale. Sure turned out nice. Beautiful piece of wood and beautiful finish. Thanks for reposting it.

Again, beautiful work! It is amazing how the scale changes between the two differnent sets of photos. Thanks for posting the new photos.

Yah Mike in the last picture it goes from the bottom of the tire to the top of the hood. That’s a big burl.

I just had another look at this terrific hunk of wood. Mike, I was thinking that it would easily accommodate a barometer in the top ‘pod’ and a thermometer in to the right of the clock face.

It was a polymer epoxy that I bought from woodcraft, the finish, that is. Thanks all for the wonderfull comments, and yes Don I’m heading for the hardware right now to see if I can find those items. Thanks for the creative ideas guy, you are the best. mike
