Hi everyone.

This is a pencil holder/desk organizer i made from Maple and Sapele joined together with hand-cut dovetails. The middle divider is just friction fit and can be moved/removed to fit different sized objects. The design was inspired by Paul Sellers sandpaper caddie and it was finished with 4 coats of Arm-r-seal. (Its still a little wet in the pictures)

After lots of practice, This was my first attempt at an actual project and they came out better than i expected.

Thanks For looking.

Looks great. Paul Seller’s dovetail caddy project was the first thing I thought of before I read your comment.

Thank guys. It is amazing how much a little planing and sanding can clean the joints up.

Great job! Keep it up! Many a woodworking career/hobby were started by the words “it turned out better than I expected…”
