Baby gates

Not much time in the shop this last year. Having a new baby will do that…however, some things the baby needs can be made in the shop. Like baby gates!
Simple frame and panel gates, 1/4” ply fir panels and 3/4” solid fir frames. One of the doors will remain after my son no longer needs baby gates, so I added a bit more detail to it. Taking the design from many craftsman style doors. Used a simple sliding bolt on three of the doors, but painted them (and all hardware) with a rubbed bronze spray paint. The latch on the craftsman style door is a transom latch from Lee Valley.
Fun to make, quick to finish and practical…all in all, time well spent.
thanks for looking.

That’s some really nice fir! And displayed nicely. Great job.
