My bench top drill press has been missing a permanent space for quite some time. I have a very small shop and everything needs to be mobile. I took a kitchen cabinet lower and re purposed it for a mobile drill press table.

My compressor was also missing a home so I put a full length pull out drawer in the bottom of the cabinet to house it, with a 45 degree tilting upper drawer to house the air fittings.

The top is 3/4” maple ply with 3/4” by 3/8” maple edging.

I used 3” locking casters on the base but kept them just shy of the bottom of the lower cabinet to give it a lower cabinet look.

Thanks for looking,

That’s the way to reuse old cabinets. Looks good too.

Looks great! I have a similar one for my drill press, though not as nice. I’ve found ugly cabinets at the Habitat Re-Store are cheaper than the plywood I would need to make one myself.

What a great use of a used cabinet. I’m sure we could all use something like this in our shops
