Aside from making a few things for my shop this is my first real project. The first picture is the finished project (before staining/finshing). It came together pretty good, but it was a bumpy ride. The face frame and the top are solid oak. The sides, back and shelves are 3/4” oak veneered mdf. The original design changed as I made mistakes. I intended to join the bottom and shelves using dadoes and glue. My router skills are, however, underdeveloped (see second picture). My problems with the router caused me to change the dimensions of the bottom rail and use pocket screws for most of my joinery. The last picture is the back of the cabinet. I ripped the back panel to width before I had the dado problems. When I abandoned the dadoes I didn’t reduce the width of my shelves. My cabinet was about 3/4” too wide for my previously cut back. I had to join two pieces using pocket screws in order to have a back that fit properly.

The printer table looks great! It will be one of my next projects. That front view is spectacular!
