I started making some cutting boards for Christmas gifts…then I made some more…and more…and more! I actually gave away 20 cutting boards for Christmas (and kept 4 for myself). They are made from combinations of mahogany, purple heart, cherry, curly maple, walnut and ash. Just some of the scraps I collected from my favorite wood store. I had some scraps of leftovers and decided that I’d try the coasters. I did all these with a thickness planer, router/table, mitre saw (waaaayyy too dangerous cutting those little inlays) and my table saw. I went on a pilgrimage to Woodcraft and picked up a very small mitre box and saw. My fingers will appreciate it.

I love your cutting boards. That’s something I don’t understand is inlays. Way beyond my limits.

They look great. What type of finish did you use?
