This is my latest and favorite ever. This the first box i have made with all wood construction, including the hinges and latch. I used lots of different wood in this box.
Mahogany sides
Maple top
Redheart bottom
Myrtle hinges
Walnut and purpleheart latch
1/4 inch box joint with mortised hinges and catch for the latch. This was a very rewarding project and i was proud to give it to my sister for christmas, she’s still talking about it… I plan on using wood hinges on most of my box’s from now on. someday I’ll learn how to take good pics .

Yes, this is a really nice box. I like it too. Get a tripod for the camera. Bright filtered light is best.
