Had to come up with a way for my daughter to display her antique perfume bottles in her new house.
Was given some 4/4×8 pieces of mahogany about 3 feet long each. Resawed in half for shelves and resawed into thirds for supports. 3 coats of poly gloss for the finish. Only used 3 of the boards on this so there will be more projects to come.

Nice score on the wood, and good job on the shelves.

That’s a sweet design and I really like the profile that you put on the shelf edges…it adds a lot to the piece : )It looks so delicate , what did you attach it to the wall with ?

Dusty, It’s not as delicate as it looks. The shelves are 1/2 inch thick and the stringers? are 3/8 thick.
I had to custom make a pair of hangers and inset them into the top of the stringers. They are 3 inches long and have 3 screws each to attach them. They stick up over the top shelf far enough to put an anchor into the wall.

Ahhhh….yes , I see by your hand size that it is “beefier” than I originally thought…..Thanks for the info and the hanger details : ) Once again , it is a very nice project .
