These are three ornaments I made for our turning club’s annual Christmas ornament sale. The ornament on the left and right are walnuts that I mounted between home made mandrels and turned down just enough to expose the meat cavities. The walnut is then glued to a turned top and a turned finial bottom. Pieces of yellowheart and walnut were used to make the finials. The walnuts are from trees on my property. The middle ornament is an inside out turning. It was turned from a piece of Aspen that I picked up in Colorado.

Unique creations. The walnut cavities could be painted with gold or something sparkly to give them even more depth. Very creative.
