Slant Top Secretary Desk Flea Market Flip

Found this nice little slant top secretary desk at a local flea market. Paid $30 dollars for it and took a gamble that the wood underneath would be nice. After tearing the entire desk apart and stripping about 3 or four different colors I was pleasantly surprised how nice the wood still was. A little bit of sanding to smooth things out and get what little bit of paint off that was still left and it was time to throw it back together. It’s finished in a semigloss polyurethane and looks great in my rustic themed house.

it was always a pet peeve of mine when I saw old furniture “freshened up” by putting gobs of paint on it. its good to see one being saved from the junk heap
