My wife and I picked up an old door at an auction sale for $17 with the intention of making it into a headboard. I recycled a piece of oak trim from my parents’ old kitchen cupboards. Bought a new 1×4 piece of oak for the top. Hours of sanding later, I stained it with Minwax Ebony. Three coats of clear poly to finish it. Hung with French cleat. This turned out way better than I expected! Total cost was about $60.

Not sure what kind of wood the door is. If you have an idea, please post.

Thanks for looking!

Nice way to up-cycle some would-be landfill items!

I bet Olaf loves the warmth of that blanket.
