A friend of mine at the firehouse had a picture of what he wanted for his family room. It was hard to tell some of the details from the one picture he had I think out of a magazine, but I think I got most of them. He said, you can make it all out of MDF because I’m gonna paint it. There was no way I was making it all out of MDF. It would have weighed a ton. I used MDO, MDF and poplar. The mantel shelf is made from the same materials and protrudes from the wall 10”, while the cabinets are 18” and bookcases are 12”. Luckily for me, he did all the painting. Thanks for looking.
