Wish I could claim full credit for building this stool, but I can’t.
I fell in love with it when i found it in a disused closet, despite it’s “ruff” shape. When asking the current owner about the backstory, she responded that I could have it if i wanted, since she had just saved it from the garbage!
I tried some soy stripper, but the mildew, mystery substance was deeply ingrained.
So, sharpened up the number 3, some nice smooth shavings, BLO, amber shellac and VOILA!
It’s high enough to use as a seat while I file saws too :D

Thanks! I was finally able to make room on the bench, so I can get on with restoring my piles of backlog.

Have your say...
