Poker Table

Well I’ve been a LumberJock for a few years and never posted any of my own projects, so here goes.

I made this poker table a few years ago, way back before I even had a workshop. I used a jigsaw to cut the plywood and glue, staples and screws to put it together. For those of you that are interested in making your own poker table, I found this site very helpful: http://www.scottkeen.com/forum/

I have since sold the table, so I guess this project was also my first sold piece! I plan to make a better one day. I love this one: http://lumberjocks.com/projects/9997 because of James’ design for wooden legs that fold (a necessity for WAF: Wife Acceptance Factor).

Major mistakes were the choice of materials for the playing surface, and the rail foam. I’d also like to the get the playing surface tighter to the ‘race track’ next time.

Very cool… I bet your client gets a lot of use out of this.
