Sawmill slab bench- customer order

Another not so fancy customer order. I didn’t want to plane this down too much. This slab of white oak was cut quite a few years ago and had a ton of character from the old saw marks and aging. . I had to sand it down some to make it palatable to the hind parts of the woman buying it. Still waiting for a more impressive commissioned build to come it, but it’s still nice when any money rolls through the shop.

Nice. What method did you use to join the legs to the top?

Just pocket holes and a few dowels. I stood on it and wiggled around. Pretty happy with the stability.
