I went to a festival to camp out and sell my art for 3 days. Decided to take a chunk of walnut with me and chip away at it to see what I could come up with. On te first day I met a Gal that was loving my work and spent much of the days carving while speaking with her. She was the model for this piece as it ended up but only in the generic sence. I had never attempted a woman’s head before, only bearded wizzardly type heads.
The last picture shows what it looked like as I left the festival, the remainder I finished when I got home over about a 1 week period.
