This is a project with a lot of firsts for me. I made a miter sled for my table saw and used it to make the sides. I used the table saw to cut grooves in the sides to hold the plywood in place. Originally, I planned to paint the project but didn’t like how the paint took on a scrap piece of this plywood. So, I just used polyurethane for the first time and have a piece of plex-glass in the middle of the tray (not pictured). All in all, this was a much more complicated process than I thought it would be and I learned a lot!

This fits perfect in our living room and got used for the first time at a Superbowl party last night!

Looks great, I’ve been meaning to make one this large too.
