I really enjoyed putting this box together. I had some beautiful Birdseye Maple so I used it as the primary wood. I used Padak and Wedge for contrast. The tray is also Birdseye.
I used blue suede for the lining.
Finished it off with five coats of lacqure.
Thanks for looking.

gnarly and elegant at the same time. Nice project and design.

Thanks Jim. I like taking something a little different and making something with it.

Another beautiful box, Duck….You’re like Ranger Boats…Still building ‘em one at a time…..Did you use that new router table and new sled…? Keep up the fine work, and a stellar job…..I like curly birdseye Maple…..

Thanks Rick. Yes I used both of them and some new jigs I made up. I put together a dovetail jig yesterday. I’m going to try it in the next few days. I’ll let you know.

I liked how you made the transition in color between top and sides.
