When we were buying our new house last year we found ourselves in a lot of furniture and appliance stores. While in one of them, I found a mirror that looked somewhat similar to this (it was squares of mirror and wood rather than rectangles like I made) they wanted $250 for it and it was marked down from $500. I finally found a bit of free time to tackle making one. With an $11.00 mirror I got at a box store and some left over walnut veneer from my entertainment unit my walnut mirror was born. I cut the mirror into strips slightly larger than the opening and countersunk them into a piece on 1/2” MDF. I made some MDF blocks at different angles for the wood and then laminated them with walnut veneer then I finished with a few coats of lacquer.
