A Sue May pattern for my quilting queen (my wife). Took a few hours to cut and came out nicely. Red oak with tung oil finish and a fabric backing (of course). Thanks for looking!

I found the pattern and have it downloaded. Do you think it would work to some how make the insert deeper, make a thin acrylic bottom to lay over the insert bottom so my wife could use as a dish to throw pins or such in?

You should really rack up the points for that. I used to get in trouble regularly for raiding my Mother’s stash of fabric for backing on projects.
